This is a time that we will learn the current system for triage, tagging victims, and helping during and after a disaster.  Times are getting tough folks, with all of the shootings lately (including not far from where we will be holding this conference) we as care providers, may be called to assist after something has happened.  It is not just about birth work.  We will begin at the hotel in the morning and after a session of preparation we will go to a off site (we will need to car pool to the site) for the day.  Once in the field, you will be working 'role play' emergency situations.  Come prepared for the weather-so bring older clothing, good hiking shoes (there will be some walking, not a lot, but some).  If it is cold,  plan ahead, with a coat, hat and scarf.  Rain gear is also a possibility that you might need.  Weather in this area varies, so plan ahead! Approved for 5.5 contact hours/.55 CEU's from MEAC
